Not Your Average Paper Planes

A fan of making models as a child and folding up paper planes, it's interesting to see that some of us never lost the passion. When I came across a trailer for a documentary on rubber band powered airplanes I was blown away.

Albeit a competition, there is a comradeship between the participants and a calming atmosphere that is as gentle as the flight of these little marvels of engineering.

I love finding these microcosms of competition. Aside from mainstream sports, it's very rare that the masses get to learn about the work and dedication others put into their craft.

If you've come across  a similar phenomenon please let us know.
