Identity Branding eCommerce

A legend, an icon – Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center. Chuck Levin’s has earned a reputation as one of the leading instrument retailers in North America spanning a rich history since 1958. Jackson Wynne helped redefine the brand with an updated logo type, icon and complete eCommerce experience. Impressive sales have led to rapid growth with a passionate team, and a re-brand to kick things into high gear.


Jackson Wynne collaborated with letter designer Walker Ballantyne to produce an updated logotype for a signature style. The Chuck Levin’s portrait pays hommage to the founder, father and businessman complimenting all material, lending personality and history to the brand as an iconic legend. Black and white are dominant maintaining a vintage aesthetic, keeping it a little bit of rock and roll and pulling from the past.

eCommerce Website

A completely custom design was built for the BigCommerce platform, integrated with a Product Control system (PCS) developed by Jasper, an enterprise eCommerce specialist. Features include special category product sections, 360° product views, and dedicated content pages.

Some other highlights include a history timeline, in-depth department sections, and Ask an Expert for that personal customer service touch. Searching the robust product database of 1000s of products is kept fast with Nextopia integration.


Jackson Wynne worked intimately with the Levin family to produce a brand that would make Chuck proud. Special attention was paid to develop a comprehensive brand system with extensive design details for web and eCommerce. Having re-launched October 4th, 2014 – Chuck Levin’s is ready to expand sales online and beyond.
